wwwWhere ,where, where do I start..if memory serves me right daddy was born on the 3rd of September in 1929. His first official job was a prison guard, then like his daddy's, daddy..he worked the West
Virginie Coal Mines.
He had coffee stained teeth, and breath that smelled of stale cigarettes, and Black Label Beer.
He had 7 sons, including me, and a daughter and a lady he called Sue, who he referred to as his WW 2 wife.
Daddy use tell us boys that the Lord is pleased to see us sweat for our food, and
that He was pleased by good bonafide behavior.

Daddy taught his boys how to play hard, and how to work harder. He taught us to tell the truth, and that a promise is a promise and that a lie is a darnit lie!
When daddy died, sis and his WW2 wife, (named Sue) cried. But me and the boys held in our tears. We were tough, and harderwork replaced our fears. Our fears!
He died on a Friday night, yes he did!
Me and my brothers were pall bearers, and so was his brother Gus. Gus, Gus..Big G Gus
Pastor Leonard hopped of his yellow funeral bus and said a few words, and implored to God Almighty that he take my daddy to them pearly gates in the sky
and to hurry and not to tarry.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After all was said and done, my 6 brothers and me had a drink of whiskey from a mason jar.
And we poured a glass for daddy who was not here, God rest his soul-close the bar!
Next day we rolled up our sleeves, got our hard hats, lunch boxes, and kissed ma, and headed to work, we headed to work.
Hard work, good work, work so good, so good to me
hard work gotta be,
hard work so good to me, gotta be ...
gotta be.
