These tunes are from "Melbourne, and the Chinciia Islands" by George W. Peck, 1854.
They are in abc notation, so copy a tune, click on "ABC Convert-A-Matic", and paste in the box.
If anybody recognizes tunes 1, 2, &3, please PM me.

No 2 could, at a stretch, be The Muckin' O' Geordie's Byre.

The first part of 3 sound like the The Mistletoe Bough.

I agree that 2 could be Muckin' O' Geordie's Byre at a stretch.

3 sounds a bit like the tune for "Butter and Cheese an' all"

OK, some clues.
The author says: "What the first was manufactured out of, it is not easy to imagine. The second is a scrap of something familiar. Prehaps the third may be some Dutch melody." He goes on to identify the fourth as "the universal favorite." "Haul the bowline,".   These appear to be tunes/chanties of the sailors.
