Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: GUEST,Dáithí Date: 27 Jan 11 - 07:48 AM Thanks for the link Folkiedave - great site. I have added this one and the Dog and Bone! Let's all make it a great resource. And then support the venues by joinging in. Audiences welcome too! D |
Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: GUEST,Dáithí Date: 27 Jan 11 - 07:37 AM Whereabouts you hang out Wheatman? There's a cracking session on the first sunday afternoon of each month (from 3pm) at the Dog and Bone, John St, in Lincoln. People regularly travel from Notts/Leicestershire to that one! D |
Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: Wheatman Date: 27 Jan 11 - 06:25 AM sorry it's too far north for me |
Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: Folkiedave Date: 27 Jan 11 - 05:41 AM This might also be a good place to advertise. It is brand new so only just building up! |
Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: GUEST,Dáithí Date: 27 Jan 11 - 05:27 AM Seems the best move Dave - let's hope the ones we've got are well supported by local folks too! Best wishes Dáithí |
Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: FaldingworthDave Date: 27 Jan 11 - 04:40 AM Based on the above, I have decided not to run a session at Faldingworth in June, after all. There are now 3 sundays where sessions occur, pretty local to Faldingworth. The 2 Sundays mentioned above and the one at the Dog and Bone in Lincoln. |
Subject: RE: New Session in Lincolnshire From: GUEST,Dáithí Date: 27 Jan 11 - 03:49 AM Thanks for that Mr. Red! Looking forward to another good one - and be nice to see some local musicians turn up too! Best wishes D |

Subject: New Session in Lincolnshire From: GUEST,Dáithí Date: 26 Jan 11 - 03:41 AM Hi Folks There's a new session started in Lincolnshire - details as follows: Second and last Sunday of the month, from 3pm, at the Marquis of Granby pub in Waddingham (just off the A15 north of Caenby Corner). Mainly Irish - as it's hosted by Billy, one of the best exponents of Irish trad and folk (banjo, guitar, vocals)- but we also have had modern folk singers and players so ALL WELCOME! Next one is THIS Sunday, so hope you can make it! Keep it live! Best wishes Dáithí Ó Geanainn (Gone to the Dogs) |
