Hi Klimster - yes, everybody is welcome.
I can't make the next Dog and Bone session - first sunday in feb from 3pm - but hope to be at the next Marquis of Granby session which is on the second and last Sundays of each month - see above for more details/diections.
We had a fab time there yesterday - so we'll be doing it again on Feb 13th!!
Everybody - singers, beginners/listeners and joiner-in-ers! -welcome!
Dáithí

H, can anyone turn up for a play? Don't want to play solo just join in. My husband and I are new to folk scene but love the music and are keen to play (me whistle, him Bodhran).

Thanks for the link Folkiedave - great site. I have added this one and the Dog and Bone!
Let's all make it a great resource.
And then support the venues by joinging in. Audiences welcome too!

Whereabouts you hang out Wheatman? There's a cracking session on the first sunday afternoon of each month (from 3pm) at the Dog and Bone, John St, in Lincoln. People regularly travel from Notts/Leicestershire to that one!

This might also be a good place to advertise. It is brand new so only just building up!

Based on the above, I have decided not to run a session at Faldingworth in June, after all.

There are now 3 sundays where sessions occur, pretty local to Faldingworth. The 2 Sundays mentioned above and the one at the Dog and Bone in Lincoln.

Looking forward to another good one - and be nice to see some local musicians turn up too!
Best wishes

Hi Folks
There's a new session started in Lincolnshire - details as follows:

Second and last Sunday of the month, from 3pm, at the Marquis of Granby pub in Waddingham (just off the A15 north of Caenby Corner).

Mainly Irish - as it's hosted by Billy, one of the best exponents of Irish trad and folk (banjo, guitar, vocals)- but we also have had modern folk singers and players so ALL WELCOME!
Next one is THIS Sunday, so hope you can make it!
Keep it live!
Best wishes
Dáithí Ó Geanainn
(Gone to the Dogs)
