Just heard from Alan (Mudcat name: Tropical Al) as follows:

thanks for your concern. We are OK & the house survived after a torrid night - more details later. Will post something to mudcat when we have more time - big mess to clean-up. Couldn't communicate before as we had no power or pidgeons. Complicated systems fall apart rapidly when one component fails.

Subject header almost was a song title! Alan wrote a song - "Cyclone Party" about a big cyclone which hit Northern Queensland a few years ago. Think this one was a bit bigger, though!

Oops! Just dug out the CD to listen to "Cyclone Party" again and spotted that it was written jointly by Alan and Judy and not just by Alan... sorry, Judy!!!
