I wanted to go with him when he started sailing further distances - from New England to the Caribbean, etc. I was very young and had a growing family, so never could stray too far ... but enjoyed a couple of trips along the coast of New England and New York.

The he moved back to Maine - and I didn't see him much.

The Youtube video below is a tribute to my friend Billy Dunlop. I know some of the Mudcatters know the story - and the song already - but I've recently connected with some friends and family remembering Billy's story, and I put this quick tribute together for him.

Billy was lost at sea, back in the early 80's - while attempting to sail around the world in his tiny 9' sail boat the Wind's Will.
