Subject: Goose Is Out! Singaround Sunday 13th From: GUEST Date: 12 Feb 11 - 03:05 PM Sunday 13th and then every second sunday of the month thereafter. CPT 193 Crystal Palace Road, East Dulwich, London SE22 7.30 - 9.30pm. We are delighted to be able to confirm our new monthly Goose singaround in the "old" bar of the CPT (junction of Crystal Palace Road and Underhill Road, if you don't already know it)! We are particularly delighted as it's the Goose's local! Turn right as you come into the pub and you will find us (though if zillions of people come down we may have to move to the "new" bar). It will be on the second Sunday of the month, and the first one will be on Sunday 13 February at 7.30pm. We expect to finish around 9.30pm, but we'll see how it goes. The bar closes at 10.30pm but there will be drinking-up time after that. The CPT does not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own, or order a takeaway to be delivered to the bar for you. We hope that lots of people will come down and, er, sing. It will be very informal and participative - no mikes, no lights, no audience. You can sing whatever you like, but as we're a folk club we'd prefer it to be at least folk influenced, and if it has a chorus or is a well-known song which others can join in with, so much the better smiling smiley Accompanying instruments welcome too, but please note that this isn't a session, it's a singaround. If you just want to come and listen, of course that's absolutely fine too. We are grateful to the CPT for letting us have this space, so it would be great if we had a good turnout for the first night. And entry is absolutely FREE! If you don't already know about the Goose, do check out our website at http://www.thegooseisout.com for lots more info about us and our other folk ventures in East Dulwich. |
