Subject: RE: 2011 Grammy Awards (FWIW) From: Janie Date: 13 Feb 11 - 10:14 PM Thanks Becky. The nominees as well as the winners are all well worth a listen! Was pleased that Carolina Chocolate Drops and Mavis Staples won Grammy's - the only two that I am real familiar with among the categories mentioned. Especially pleased by the well-deserved recognition afforded Mavis Staples, whose voice, music and passion I admire tremendously. |
Subject: RE: 2011 Grammy Awards (FWIW) From: GUEST,Dani Date: 13 Feb 11 - 10:29 PM Still, pales in comparison to last year's hoo-ha. Dani |
Subject: RE: 2011 Grammy Awards (FWIW) From: Desert Dancer Date: 14 Feb 11 - 01:50 AM Well, nothing could compare to that, at least in category of hoo-ha. The rest can only ever aspire to it. Not folk, but worthy was the winner for Best New Artist: Esperanza Spalding. ~ Becky in Long Beach |
