Anyone who patronised the Nook Folk Club some years ago or the Folk Festival are likely to have encountered Angela and David who were in charge there. David died some years ago but Angela sadly died last week following a long period of ill health.
She was hugely supportive of the folk club and used to give a free pint to performers and when there were too many for that to be manageable she gave us a financial contribution instead.
The end of an era!

Sorry to hear of Angela's death Cath

The Nook has always been a favourite pub and popular with Real ale drinkers and musicians too

The Nook certainly figured in the early Holmfirth ff days along with Dave and Eileen Keys

Sorry but I spotted this too late.
The funeral was last Wednesday at the church in Aspley. People were invited back to the Nook but I didn't go.
