An open invitation to any traditional music fanatics to come along and join in an open session to be held in a marquee in the grounds of Castle Forbes, Keig, Nr Alford, Aberdeenshire, on Saturday 7th May 2011, between 10.00am and 2.00pm (or thereabouts). The event is the inaugural meeting of the Castle Forbes gravity race, with competitors joining from throughout the UK. Further details from:

It is also a community fun day with plenty to attract all members of the family. Alford and its surroundings are truly beautiful and has excellent tourist facilities, including an international standard camp site....so why not make a holiday break of a visit here and come and join in the fun? Incidentally, there are so many traditional music sessions up here that we are often spoilt for choice.....hope to see you :)
