Notes from "Songs and Sounds of the Sea," an old LP from NatGeo, report this ship in service in the early 1800s, and trapped in ice along with much of the British whaling fleet in 1830.

Does anybody know more information about the ship The Diamond?

Are there ships registries online that might list the date of launch and record a date lost?
