The Music Institute Folk club in Guildford will be hosting an evening with Debs Newbold tomorrow night (Friday 4 March 2011). Debs is currently the Storyteller In Residence at Cecil Sharp House (a newly created position),an educational practitioner at the Globe Theatre in London and was a smash hit at Sidmouth Folk Week last year when she held a full house enthralled with her show "The Wrekin Cycle".She has told tales at numerous locations, events and venues including The Guardian Hay Festival, The Royal Court Theatre, Whittlesea Straw Bear Festival, The ...Storytelling Cafe, the RSPB, the British Library, The Magpie's Nest folk club and dozens and dozens of schools and libraries.
