Subject: Mudgather Crediton Festival Sat. 1-3 p.m .
From: Carol
Date: 09 Mar 11 - 01:09 PM

Just to confirm that we're having a Mudgather in the Half Moon Function Room on Saturday, 16th of April from 1 p.m. until 3p.m.
Please bring yourselves and if you're feeling generous some chocolate - to share with fellow Mudcatters of course!
Would be interesting to have some idea who's coming - just so I know how much chocolate to buy.

Carol, you're a Beaut for stepping in & organising the MudGather!!! If I were you I should just get a small amount of chocolate, I know MudCatters are happy to bring & share!!!

Wish we could come & join you, depends on how far in advance our chores are for Easter...

We're singing in the church from 2-4, but will try to look in at the Half Moon first...

I was thinking of wandering over to Cheriton Fitzpaine on Saturday lunchtime/afternoon. Not a Mudcat member so apologies for drifting off the Mudgather/chocolate thread but; which is the best pub for a singaround and what time are they likely to start/finish?

SteveT - good to see you at the Mudgather!

Many thanks to Carol, and to John and Pete for a great little festival.

And to everyone who came and sang, played, mummed and listened in our evenings at the Ring o' Bells skittle alley!

didn't make it to the mud gather but it seemed to me the service at the other pub Ring o Bells is getting worse.. both in running out of things(food and cider)) and standard of service from barstaff. Half moon rules!

Service in Ring o Bells skittle alley was fine, and also in the main pub when I was there... the pub was under new management, having been closed for a while, so I think it was the usual story of new landlords not comprehending the scale of increased demand at a folk festival. And praise to the new management for not increasing prices for the festival (which the previous management did) - the beer price was cheaper than the Half Moon.

I agree with Kitty I had excellent service at both pubs and reasonably priced beer was a very pleasant bonus. Over all I thought it was the best Crediton Festival yet
