Subject: RE: Mudcat's Alanabit New CD From: alanabit Date: 11 Mar 11 - 01:37 PM Thank-you very much (blushing). "Used To Have A Name" is from my first album, "Small Voice Crying" and was written by myself and the brilliant English writer, Rob Taylor. He is doing a sort of modern, electric lounge music now with Coloma, which is not so much my thing, but his older songs with Alex Partick are probably the best pop/rock songs I have heard by anybody. |

Subject: RE: Mudcat's Alanabit New CD From: gnu Date: 16 Mar 11 - 01:08 PM DITTO! Listening to it now. Thanks alanabit. I haven't got a fav yet... listening to the second last tune right now. Gonna be a tough call as "Where Did The Good Man Go? is my current fav. GREAT STUFF! |
Subject: RE: Mudcat's Alanabit New CD From: gnu Date: 16 Mar 11 - 01:13 PM And, as an aside, due to a Canada Post defficiency upgrade, it takes over two weeks to send my next door neighbour a letter but the CD took 5 days to get to me... German efficiency is what Canada Ghost needs. That or a good swift kick in the arse! |
Subject: RE: Mudcat's Alanabit New CD From: alanabit Date: 16 Mar 11 - 01:28 PM We have told the story elsewhere here on Mudcat, but "Where Did The Good Man Go?" is a collaberation with Mudcat's own Steve Lee Rich. He sent me the first two verses and I finished it off. Steve has recorded the song with Sandy Andina and their version (which is very good) has received airplay in the US and in Holland. |
