How'd Clayton McMichen pronounce name?

Hi all,

I have run into others with this surname and I think it's typically pronounced "mick-MITCH-inn" but I have some idea (maybe from a spoken intro on a record, or from hearing others say it) that he pronounced it "mick-MIKE-inn".

So...anyone know for sure?

Everyone I ever heard say it called him "mick-MITCH-inn.

I have live recordings in which he introduces himself before several of the tunes. He pronounces his name mack-MITCH-en. (not *mick* mitch en but *mack* mitch en).
