I have a friend who experienced a great tragedy in the family. Her older brother was recently killed in a hit-and-run car accident less than a month before his wedding. Needless to say, both my friend's family and her brother's finacee and her family are devasated. Most of the preparations for the funeral at this point have been finalized, but the families cannot agree on one thing: the music to be played. Both families are predominantly Catholic, but from different cultural backgrounds (the fiancee is Spanish-American while my friend is Irish-American) Any suggestions for songs both traditional and of our day and age that would work at both the funeral and the wake?
