This is a weekend event which takes place in the "Post Royal Wedding" slot over the Bank Holiday Weekend, Sat April 31st - Mon May 2nd. In aid of the "Rainbows" charity, in the village of Seagrave which is just off the A46 Fosse Way north of Leicester.

Saturday will be "Big Sing" sessions in the White Horse, 12.00 - 2.00 and 6.00 - 11.00 -all free to come along and join in.

Sunday will be a "Big Busk" - in the pub garden if it's fine, inside if not - everyone free to bring instruments and voices along and do a few songs or tunes. 12.00 - 6.00

Monday will be some "folky" bands, that regular attendees at the Folk Night are part of - once again in the garden if weather fine, but outside if not. 12.00 - 5.00.

This should be coinciding with events organised by the Caravan and Camping Club at the Village Hall - the details of this have yet to be confirmed but it looks like there will be a Saturday Night ceilidh and some tune sessions. So there should be something for all tastes.

The whole thing is free but you are asked to donate to the charity. Unfortunately there is no camping unless you are a member of the Caravan and Camping Club.

Why does it do this, must be "Fat Finger Sydrome". What a good idea Dave, we do like a good singing session and the Pub is very pleasant, a proper village Pub. Good Luck with this.
P S I know why, I catch the ctrl button.

Ceilidh in village hall on Saturday night will be open to visitors. Small charge will apply. Good luck with the 'Big Sing' Dave. We won't be around on Saturday afternoon due to a family commitment but we will be there with you on Sunday.

Thanks both - it will all be on a small unadventurous scale this year, but we'll grow it if it's a success!

It's the "Big Sing" tomorrow - early session between 12.00 and 2.00 and evening session 6.00 - 11.00.

If you're near Leicester why not pop in for a while and give us a song or two. Focus very much on singing but not banning instruments. We'll be having a collection to support the local "Rainbows" childrens' hospice.

"Young no More" will be leading the final session between 8.00 and 11.00.

Seagrave is about a mile off the A46 Fosse Way Leicester to Newark Road 7 or 8 miles north of Leicester. For any further details phone 0116 2871895 or 0771 1996210

Just had a really good first session out in the garden of the pub. We kick off tonight at 6.00, then it's the Big Busk tomorrow from 12.00.
