Time for a road trip to Ottawa.

I found out this afternoon that Randy Newman is doing a solo concert at Centrepointe Theatre there on Monday night. It's a smallish venue (about 950 seats) and tickets are quite cheap ($64.50) in comparison to most major concerts.

There are still good tickets available. I scored two tickets on the main floor.

Enjoy but "quite cheap ($64.50)" seems a bit high. $48 bought me 2 tickets to the Makem and Spain Brothers a few nights ago. I have paid less to see Tommy and Liam. All a matter of personal taste I guess but not quite cheap on my scale.

I see that the Tommy Hunter show has tickets available for the same price. I like Tommy Hunter and I would pay a reasonable price to see him (more than Randy Newman) but he is way above his value to me! Sorry Tommy but I'll pass!

The last concert i paid high tickets for was Bruce Springsteen. and that was about 15 years ago. No more venues like that for me. Tickets are just to expensive. I'll stick to coffee houses and festivals. No offense C. Ham but i wouldn't cross the street to see Newman. Never cared for him. But that is just me.
Hope you are well C.Ham. I now run three coffee houses and enjoying this a lot more than all the crap that is involved in running festivals. You must drop in some times. I get some pretty good entertainers.
