You can play or download this song at The Internet Archive. It's song #10 on that page. Here's my transcription:

SHE FOUGHT LIKE A TIGER FOR 'ER 'ONOUR
Words and music by Will E Haines & Jimmy Harper, ©1936.
As sung by Gracie Fields, 1936

She was a country maiden and 'e was the squire's son,
But a villain of the deepest dye was 'e.
She fell for 'is endearments an' she thought 'e was 'er one,
But 'e was just as bad as bad could be.
They courted in the farmyard every night at 'alf-past six.
She trusted 'im till one dark night 'e tried 'is monkey tricks.

CHORUS: She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour,
For 'er 'onour, for 'er 'onour.
She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour,
But the villain still pursued 'er to the end. (The bitter end.)

He promised 'e would wed 'er an' she thought 'e'd keep 'is word,
So forgave 'im 'cause 'e'd such a winnin' way,
But one night in the moonlight after mixin' lemon curd,
She walked with 'im through fields of new-mown hay.
When near a five-barred gate 'e said, "Let's rest awhile on this."
The trouble started once again when 'e said, "Give us a kiss."

CHORUS: She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour.
He said, "Gertia(?), I won't 'urt ya."
She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour,
But the villain still pursued 'er to the end. (The bitter end.)

Once more 'e tried 'is nonsense at the squire's Christmas ball
While the village band was playing "Tiger Rag."
She'd been drinkin' gin an' cider poured in shandy cup an' all,
Then 'e gave 'er a doped Egyptian fag.
She didn't mind 'im shakin' 'an's when it was time to go,
But when 'e tried to kiss 'er underneath the mistletoe—

CHORUS: Well, she fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour,
For 'er 'onour, for 'er 'onour.
She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour,
But the villain still pursued 'er to the end. (The bitter end.)

We've been singing this for years! It came from a very old 78 and I've never heard anyone else do it. It's a great song.

He said, "Gertia(?), I won't 'urt ya."
Probably "Gertcha" a corruption of "Get off with you" meaning 'dont be so daft'.

Or more likely "got you".

Gertia - I'd rather suppose a girl's name: Gertie, the ending "a" because of the rhyme.

While the village band was playing 'Tiger Rag'
She'd been drinking gin and cider, port and shandy cap an' all
Then he gave her a doped egyptian fag.
She didn't mind him shaking hands when it was time to go
But when he tried to kiss her underneath the mistletoe...

She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour
For 'er 'onour, for 'er 'onour.
She fought like a tiger for 'er 'onour

Them "doped Egyptian fags" will get you every time. It's really hard to fight like a tiger with such a tiger in your tank.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
