Nashville-based Sally Barris has managed to be successful in the mainstream world of country music without giving up her folk and Celtic roots. Her unique style, influenced by artists such as Tony Rice, Dougie MacLean, Triona Ni Dhomhnaill and Richard Thompson, is what makes her stand out in a city known for "cookie cutter" talent. Whether in her own hands or those of a well-established artist such as Lee Ann Womack or a newcomer like American Idol finalist, Kellie Pickler, Sally's music is unmistakably recognizable. Some catalog highlights include: "Let The Wind Chase You" (Trisha Yearwood), "Reluctant Daughter" (Martina McBride), "Some Things I Know" (Lee Ann Womack), "I'm On My Way" (Kellie Pickler), "The Innocent Years" (Kathy Mattea), and "Honeysuckle Sweet" (Jessi Alexander) which appeared in the Miramax film An Unfinished Life.
Her 2007 CD, "Restless Soul," includes Celtic folk, bluegrass, and old country; the songs are dark, sad, unrequited, and beautiful. Her lyrics are as forthright as a stream of clear water and the melodies support them with a shared quality. She sings in a light, expressive soprano that is reminiscent of Claire Lynch and Aoife O'Donovan, a voice Pierce Pettis called, "excruciatingly beautiful."

Most recently Michael Troy's songs have earned him the titles of the 2010 Kerrville Folk Festival New Song Winner and the 2007 New England Songwriting Contest Winner. Having spent parts of his own life as a mill worker, fisherman, laborer and carpenter, and most of his adult years as a husband and father, Michael has traveled many paths, and the experience and wisdom he's gleaned along the way echoes through his music. A magical storyteller with a gift for melody, a deep rich voice, excellent finger-pickin' skills and the ability to compose outstanding stanzas of substance, Michael's plaintive ballads speak of the hills and mills of Fall River and of childhood dreams not quite forgotten in the adult quest to make an honest living.

Michael's second CD, "Romancing the Moon," continues to celebrate the beauty and intrinsic value of hard work and perseverance, memory and history, love and friendship, and above all, survival. His 2009 CD, "Mill Town Boy" continues with songs about real people living real lives.
