I'm interested in a Renaissance alto in F. I'm not sure how much it would cost to send it from the UK to here, but if the price is about 200 GBP I would love to discuss. I have a soprano Hopf and Kynseker and am looking for the companion to one of these two makes. Thanks! Sue email me at: riehlecpa at gci dot net

I have one of these I'm looking to sell too. It's been played for a maximum of 3-4 hours and is absolutely as new. Beautiful instrument but you can only play one at a time and as I have a set of moeck renaissance, I play that alto instead. This one has to go! It's in it's original box, original mop - perfect. Sorry to see it go but need a car and can't get to work on a recorder!!! £250 + postage (happy for it to travel but buyer must pay costs and insurance)

Hi Chris,

did you sell your alto recorder? I'm coming to the UK in a couple of weeks (from Australia) and would be interested in looking at it if you still have it.

Ooh, is it the smooth-sided type (my googling suggests that model is) as I'm looking for one for 17 century re-enactment, and I don't want the baroque shape you see now...

All fingers down will give you an F. It does have a long reach, but that gives it a really stable and strong bottom note!

Is it in G or F?

I've got the F one - great sound, though I don't use it all that often. It has a long reach for the right-hand little finger.

I've got a Hopf Praetorius Alto Renaissance recorder that I don't really need anymore.

It's a beautiful instrument with a deep rich tone in great playing condition and has been recently oiled.

Can't work out how to add images to this, but if you pm me I'd be more than happy to email you some piccies!

I'm looking for £200, plus £7.50 postage.

Cheers

Chris

PS - I'm in the UK. I'm quite happy to post to other places but I'd have to check costs first!
