Subject: pronunciation of Og From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 28 Mar 11 - 11:53 AM We had a great St Patrick's Day party, though it was March 19th. One of the songs we played was 'Eileen Og.' It was quite popular and will be added to the permanent record. How do you pronounce og? Long or or short? Hard g or not? I believe it's Irish (could also be Scottish) and means 'young.' |
