Robert Fripp recorded hours and hours of music, out of which Microsoft snipped about 4 seconds for the startup theme of Vista. There's a video about the whole process on Channel 9 here - which, if you want to think about things that way, rather puts the 'extravagance' of getting Bellowhead in to do the Archers theme into the shade ...

Oh, and Bellowhead and Vista in the one thread? Let the bile flow!

I love bellowhead, well love everything that Boden's done really (though have not heard every single folk song a day!)Fair play, but getting the full band in for a 20 second soundbite? The word,extravagance comes to mind...

Decided to start this thread for Bellowhead fans who may not have checked out the 'Tune Req: The Archers Theme' thread...

I just heard the late-night repeat of the very first 'Ambridge Extra', and when I heard the theme tune I thought, "That's gotta be Bellowhead!" And it is...

Apparently, they have also recorded the Simpson's theme tune:
"Eighteen months ago, the producers of The Simpsons invited Bellowhead to record a version of their theme tune to coincide with the cult TV programme's 20th anniversary and the band were equally honoured to give this a go too."
