Subject: RE: Steeleye Span at Fairfield Hall Croydon From: Bonzo3legs Date: 07 Apr 11 - 02:48 AM I often wonder if concert venues ever consider the problems taller folks have when the legroom is bad. I think we will have a box next time at the Fairfield, well worth the extra!! |

Subject: RE: Steeleye Span at Fairfield Hall Croydon From: Bonzo3legs Date: 06 Apr 11 - 03:39 PM I forgot to mention that legroom was appalling - we were in row G for the first half but a very helpful stewardess found us empty seats in row A at the front for the second half partly for more room but also because there were 2 men sitting behind us who would not stop talking. |
Subject: Steeleye Span at Fairfield Hall Croydon From: Bonzo3legs Date: 06 Apr 11 - 03:31 PM The word excellent comes to mind to describe their performance last night. First half consisted of the "Now we are 6" album performed from start to finish and the second was a selection of songs/tunes from the last 40 years. New guitarist Julian Litman fitted well - in Chartered Accountant's outfit and Pete Zorn playing "everything else" as only he can. Did I imagine it or is Maddy singing wonderfully high again? |
