It seems to be the appropriate time for me to announce some exciting news (for me at least) My first folklore book 'Faces in the Firelight' is still garnering good reviews, which led me to consider writing a sequel - the new book tentatively titled Frost on the Canvas is currently with the publisher, who hopes to have it out around Sept / October this year all going well. I was supposed to go into the recording studio to start work on a new album 'Damper, Duff and Doughboys' in March, a week after the Chch earthquake, however I had to postpone this exercise and intend to make another run at it shortly.
I will be performing at the popular Bards Ballads and Bulldust festival in Naseby over Easter, following this up with some concert performances throughout Southland continuing to promote the award winning Southern Odyssey album.
I'll keep you all up to date with further news after Easter.
Cheers - Phil

Further to my earlier posting I'm now partway through recording the new album and very pleased with the results to date - we should be finished just before Xmas, so early next year (2012) looks to be a most likely release date.
My new songbook is currently with the printer and should become available very soon - certainly in time for Xmas.
Will keep the news coming as and when it happens.
Cheers
Phil
