American folksinger/songwriter, Richard Shindell will be on tour in UK in May 2011.

So far I only see two venues where he will be performing but perhaps more will be added.

I found these listings at Richard's tour page, so if you just go to Google and type in Richard Shindell - Tour, it will take you to that page for further information regarding those veneus. That's how I found it anyway.

Richard is really good! I have several of his albums and had a chance to see him some years ago now when he played a gig in Pasadena, California.

The Green Note is absolutely NOT hideous. It couldn't be any less hideous in fact. The only person I've ever heard say anything but complimentary stuff about the venue is Bonzo in his various guises.

The reason? Nothing beyond the simple fact that they have the temerity to serve vegetarian fayre to an unrepentant arch carnivore.

I'm not a vegetarian myself but I love the food in there. It's wholesome, organic and imaginative. Everything else about the venue is top class. The sound, the decor, the ambience, the friendliness of the staff, the quality of music and the value for money.

Pay no attention to the musings of a grumpy old man with an assinine bone to pick.

Thank you for the information about the Green Note.

Years ago I used to go to Bunjies Folk Celler in London to hear music. They also only served vegetarian food. I am not a vegetarian by any means but would eat a meal when I went there. The food was prepared in a very wholesome way and was really delicious. Afterwards I would go to hear the many great musicians that played there.
I won't pay any attention to the musings of Bonzo. Perhaps he can get a meal to his liking at a nearby cafe and just go hear the music at the Green Note.

The date at the Green Note has been rescheduled in November
