Grampus & Kevin Adams, hope you get to a MudGather one day!

Sorry Dave, I did intend to put you on the list but somehow missed you. My bad...

Must admit I don't think I saw Mr & Mrs Scarecrows...

And I was told that Alanww must be there because of the shanty crew he's in. Didn't check personally so it could be very wrong.

Meanwhile, I had a great time at Alcester!

A fantastic weekend at Alcester as usual!! Many thanks to Marje and the crew for their stirling work in looking after us all. Here's hoping we'll be OK for next year in the Rotunda!

Very pleased with the Royal Oak, they welcomed us with open arms and it was an excellent concert venue. Apart from having the opportunities to sing, my highpoint had to be Mr Fox, just wonderful!

Thanks to all who came to the Mudgather, ate chocolate, sang and laughed etc. We were a little worried that it was only an hour but it worked well and we didn't have to resort to plan B which was each person only singing a verse & chorus *grin*

Help - suffering from tired paws after a long and fantastic weekend. Will someone please get rid of the blanks for me?

We had a brilliant time. Thanks Grand Union Folk Club for sponsoring Mr Fox to the festival. Thanks also to all of those who joined in our 'prowl' through the town or were waiting to see us at the Grieg.

All of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we hope you did too. Sorry about the end of the concert at the town hall :-(

Oooohhh - got told we will be out and about around 10pm in the concert interval (don't want to upset the artistes). Listen out for us in town and watch us at the Grieg.

Smaller skulk than sometimes but still never to be missed.

Blast!!!!!!

Dental appointment (that I can't change)13:30 Friday so I won't now get to Festival until early evening.

Please get it all going in my absence so that I can join in after I get set up on the campsite.

If there's room in the car I may be able to get my electric bike on board so as to make getting round the venues a bit quicker.

Looking forward to it. Web site's great - especially the wedding pics and the handy links to artists' web pages.
I'll find the Mudgather OK, no worries as I have an sixth sense for chocolate.
I won't be allowed on the camp site though, as I'm in B&B so Ch will be there too. I'll let you know if there are any facilities for drying friends' clothes ;-)
See you soon! xx

Hi Guys and Gals, this is going to be a very special festival. We have the Royal Oak of course it's next to the concervative club in the 'notch' in the High Street where there is a small car park.

I believe that the new landlords are 'folk virgins' but willing and happy to have us.

I haven't explored the pub but it looks nice from the photographs.

Folkies are resilient, we will adapt, we will improvise, we will overcome! (any difficulties) :)

Anyway looking forward to seeing you all.

GM

Looking forward to watching the Fox & cubs, got some in our garden at the moment, not as lively though!

Think the Royal Oak is the one up near the fire station. If so, it's in the bar not a separate room.

Mudgather looks to be Saturday tea-time (traditional), 4.15 start and only on for an hour in the Nursery.

Where is the Royal Oak, is it near the Three Tuns or up near the church, and what sort of room has it got.

Subject: RE: Alcester Summer Folk Festival

Think the non availability of the fire station is due to the reorganisation of fire service in this area which has seen some station closures and expanded roles for the remainder.

Tig - I fear you heard right!

I've just got home from work to find that Marje has sent me the running order today - and there is (alas!) no column for Fire Station events. The Royal Oak pub seems to be serving as the replacement venue.

It will be a grand weekend anyway!

Ah, the Mudgather, well the awning outside the bar is always a good place because proximity to beer helps. Apart from that I think that we should see how warm it is.

I remember the one year when the Mudgather developed into a really late night session outside the Grieg.

Maybe this year will be the same.. Please wear badges if possible. I haven't heard from Tig lately and I am not sure if Badger is still in the Badge business.

I look forward to seeing you and your nice shiny van, ;)
