Subject: Farmer's Boy Bawdy Version??? From: GUEST,Suibhne Astray Date: 14 Apr 11 - 04:24 AM Listening over John Kirkpatrick's new recording of Farmer's Boy the other day I was reminded of another version heard in connexion with (perhaps) a Doc Rowe film of (maybe) The Haxey Hood or some other such customary free-for-all. The only line I remember, sung by one of the revellers: Mother naked as the day she was born Anyone know any more? Or is this some well known Rugby Song that (having always lead a temperate, chaste and sheltered life) has escaped my attention hitherto? |
