I would like to come to the Easter Maritime Festival in Liverpool but I am short of money. Could someone offer me accommodation for one of the weekends?

In return, I would be more than happy to return the favour for the Hull Shanty Festival (July 23rd and 24th), (see thread for more details).

I have been going to the Hull Festival for the past fifteen to twenty years but have only recently started singing shanties myself. It's really good to be involved and I have started to think about what I am singing!

I have only recently found the forum and just joined.

Do you mean the new festival in Ellesmere Port? People that side of the river don't like being called 'Liverpool' :)

I do mean the new festival in Ellesmere Port. Sorry, no offence intended. I have also got a bit mixed up with my weekends - didn't realise it was next weekend.

Accomodation was an issue for us. We tried to find some cheaper b&b but without success so sadly the group couldn't make it although I plan to go for the day - long drive from this side of the Pennines but doable. Hope you find a taker for your swap option.

I hope you have a really good day - it sounds as though it is going to be a lot of fun. I certainly will be at the the Hull Shanty Festival in July. I'll be able to learn some more shanties by then.
