Folk music legends Pete Seeger and Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary will appear on Anne's behalf, as will the Brooklyn Women's Chorus, Elise Bryant, Bev Grant & the Dissident Daughters, and folksingers Judy Gorman, Dave Lippman and George Mann. Proceeds from the event will go to Feeney, a tireless performer and songwriter who has toured the country for more than 30 years, inspiring workers and activists with her music and dedication to the labor movement and many other good causes. Feeney has been called "the greatest folksinger in America" by the late, great Utah Phillips, and Peter, Paul and Mary recorded her song "Have You Been to Jail for Justice?" Her songs and performances have raised money for workers throughout the country and helped inspire activists at rallies and on picket lines for many years. Doors open at 7:30 PM and there will be an intermission. People who are unable to attend may assist by making a donation online through Feeney's website, www.annefeeney.com.
