Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: JohnInKansas Date: 26 Apr 11 - 06:06 AM ... maybe one ought to get ones beauty sleep and do the maintenance work during regular hours! I think there have been rumors that Max has a "day job" that sort of limits application of that concept(?). John |

Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: stallion Date: 26 Apr 11 - 03:38 AM Oh dear Max, now that Mudcat is a global phenonemom there isn't a good time to take it down, maybe one ought to get ones beauty sleep and do the maintenance work during regular hours! |
Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: Joe Offer Date: 25 Apr 11 - 07:55 PM cannot get the thread title search box to work Kat, does that mean the Filter? It seems to be working. -Joe- |
Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: JohnInKansas Date: 25 Apr 11 - 03:23 PM I noted it being "offline by operator" at about 03:00 (am - Eastern US Time Zone, mudcat time where Max hangs out) which is about the time that Max often chooses to start the heavy maintenance. Obviously, the poor boy should have been in bed having happy dreams, but most likely he was making the world better for us. John |

Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: katlaughing Date: 25 Apr 11 - 03:13 PM I have had it show up several times, today. I also cannot get the thread title search box to work, at all. |
Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: Tattie Bogle Date: 25 Apr 11 - 02:58 PM I got it earlier today (as well as last week sometime), which would have been night-time in the US. Welcome back! |
Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 25 Apr 11 - 02:57 PM I am pretty up to speed on hosting web sites, Ralphie, but thanks for the message anyway. No - It was down for a long time earlier today, and then came back, but I am periodicaly getting the 'taken offline' message back. Definitely not a cached message because, as you so astutely pointed out, it has been online and that would have overwitten the earlier cached messages. MP |
Subject: RE: Tech: Been placed offline? From: GUEST,Ralphie Date: 25 Apr 11 - 02:50 PM Well, It can hardly be offline, because you've posted! Max takes it down periodically for housekeeping purposes. It would be ridiculous for him to tell everyone! And, he usually does it overnight...but he's in the States! I don't see the problem? |
Subject: Tech: Been placed offline? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 25 Apr 11 - 02:43 PM Anyone else still getting the 503 (I think?) error about the site being placed off-line or is it just me? MP |
