2 weeks time so start getting ready! The party at Mad Pollys usualy involves a drink or some food from the country that is performing. Only the main ones - we would never get through the whole lot! So, Seeing as it is Germany, Sausage, Saurkraut and beer are a must. The Balkan countries are intersting as they often involve some very strong fruit brandy. Italy and/or France (if they make it) provide the wines, Hopefuly Russia or Poland for the Vodka. I guess you get the picture :-)

Anyhow, as an added bonus I am thinking of some extra toasts for each time a 'folk' song is performed. hopefuly someone on here will be able to tell me what a folk song is?

(Ducking and Running)

MP :-)

Well as Blue are singing for UK, you could have Blue Curacao for a drink or make a cocktail from it, such as

'Blou' Piniella

Drink Type: Cocktail -

Ingredients

3/4 oz. Stolichnaya ( Stoli ) Raspberry Vodka
3/4 oz. Stolichnaya ( Stoli ) Vodka
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
1 splash(es) Sweet and Sour Mix
7-Up

Instructions

Pour liquors over ice in a pint glass. Add a splash of sweet and sour and top off with 7-Up.

Re the "hopefuly someone on here will be able to tell me what a folk song is?" question, I would definitely go for the "Horses don't sing!" definition here!
But only here - happy drinking!

Eddie

Sounds ideal Eddie - Makes every song a folk song :-) Trouble is I may not last the night...
