Thankfully- that forecast was entirely correct.... sunny and hot spells through the afternoon becoming very hot and sunny early evening.
Just as well, as we were outside for the singaround, due to horse racing being on the telly. Lunchtime concert was very relaxed and informal... Essex Girl.... Fiddlefit..... and The New Sunshine Band
all great... small, but good singaround with a hotspot from Don T.
Excellent evening concert with several of our regulars, and headlined by Don, Eggibred (they get better and better), and The Andy Smythe Band.
Supurbly M.C.D by Dave Kenningham.

Thanks all

T D L

Abandoned search for morris dancers. We'll use the space for something else.

I now have a full quota of performers for the festival. There is always room for more help on the day though. P.M. me if you can assist.

I am holding a short meeting 8.30 to 9.00 at The Seven Stars on Monday 23rd, to discuss the plans. All booked performers and helpers welcome.

I have spoken to Mick, the landlord about beer. Now that he is tied to Punch Taverns he has to buy beers from their list. He hasn't sorted that out with Punch yet, but will keep me informed. As regards food, it will be same as last year... barbecue, chillies, jacket potatoes.

Peter, this is the Seven Stars live website, you can contact me through there

Seven Stars Live

Should be a great festival, super pub, excellent open space, riverside location, talented musicians, friendly people, easy parking, excellent bus services, guest beers, hot snacks, free entry (donations welcome, nay, encouraged), blazing sunshine (we hope), what more could you ask?

Ah, I notice you aren't a Mudcat member, so you can't p.m. rafflesbear.

I think I should make it clear that it is a Folk Festival. We do not do Jazz. You could p.m. rafflesbear to ask him if he can accomodate you at Seven Stars Live. All performance slots are now filled, though there is a singaround in the afternoon

On Saturday, June 25th, Crayside Folk Club will be holding the second Crayside Folk Day. We build on last year's formula with the addition of Face Painting, a Charity Sales Stall, and Guest Spots during the Singaround. Below is a link to the Festival Website Page, where you can read all about it, and download a poster.
