The death of Bin Laden is the denouement. I couldn't find "the" thread. Here is a starter. Two songs.

I don't know how I left out "The Bravest" by Tom Paxton.

Anyone have chords for it?

Saul, I'm not sure what you mean by "the thread." Are you looking for a thread with songs about or in remembrance of 9-11-01? Is that what you want this new thread to be?

Here's one:

If you go on youtube, there are tonnes of songs and poems that commemorate that awful day.

On That Day

Leornard Cohen and Anjani Thomas.

Some people say
It's what we deserve
For sins against g-d
For crimes in the world

I wouldn't know
I'm just holding the fort
Since that day
They wounded New York

Some people say
They hate us of old
Our women unveild
Out slaves and our gold

I wouldn't know
I'm just holding the fort
But answer me this
I won't take you to court

Did you go crazy
Or did you report
On that day
On that day
They wounded New York

From the album:Dear Heather.

Not long after the event I heard, as someone's choice on Desert Island Discs (of all places), a song entitled 'America' by an English folk-style singer (Robb Johnson?).

I doubt if it was what the OP is after, being somewhat world-weary and cynical in tone and entirely lacking in a desire to "kick mooslim ass", but if anybody knows who it was by and the title of the CD it was on, I'd be grateful.
