They're called Tenorladies in England - although they do them in soprano, baritone and basso profundo size also.

You only remember them being psychedelic because of what you had taken Al.. they weren't really psychedelic at all!!!!

I was a 'hippie' in the early seventies, and I can't remember psychedelic panties. In fact, underwear was fairly plain. Bikinis could be psychedelic, in fact I had several of those. Oh dear, I was so slim then, I'm more of a hippo now.

They weren't really psychedelic, were they? "Paisley" might be a more accurate term.

Maybe now that the hippies have become "seniors," they should have paisley Depends®.....

LOL!! I've just looked up your Depends, Joe. Giant nappies! (diapers). They'd be quite delightful in psychedelic designs, very alluring indeed.

Some of my favorite women from way back then didn't even bother wearing panties.

"Those were the days, my friend..."

I got my psycho-delic feet, in my psycho-delic shoes,
Got my psycho-delic panties, and the psycho-delic blues.
I said how long, must I wait.

(With apologies to the Holy Modal Rounders...)

I was so slim then...

I remember skinny dippin'

Now we go chunky dunkin'

It's still fun sometimes.

John

I was a Haight-Ashbury hippie, myself. Underwear was often regarded as bourgeois. But I responded less than coolly when she only wore pachouli; she gave me quite a bang dressed but in ylang-ylang; we were one step up from vagrants with a little splash of fragrance....
Sounds like I have a song to go write, now!

The Psychedelic Panties?

Didn't they play the Fillmore? Can't remember who the lead singer was.

Destroyed too many brain cells in my misspent youth.

...uh...oh yeah...Jay

I get to flash the Psychedelic Panties for the first time at Bournemouth folk club. Support slot for Franziska Pretsch, a London-based German girl who lived for a few years in Bournemouth.

Break a leg tonight, Al - after all, you can always use the panties for a splint... :-)
