Bottleneck is one of the things I've always promised myself I would learn. One of these days I will. I'm sure Bobert should be checking in sometime soon.....

By no means, The best player on the folkscene I know is Kev brown, a Lancashire lad who lives somewhere round Bath nowadays.

i have a go at incorporating bottleneck into my songs. see the Psychedelic panties thread. I think it sort of opens up the honky tonk piano side of the guitar.

In America James Clem of portland is the best I've seen on tour over in England. James is very true to the originals.

I was just curious as I play bottleneck Blues on an old metal Dobro from the 50's I have had the neck replaced and Gibson/Dobro messed up. I have had it fixed and mounted a Lace Sensor pickup which sounds great. My fantasy is having/using the National El Travador which has a Mahogany Body
I have a repertoire that consists of Robert Johnson (Happy 100th May 8 2011) as well as Son House, Bukka White, Robert Pete Williams
Walter "Furry" Lewis and others from that period. Am I the only one?
