The group is closing down for 2-3 months.

I append a message from Jude:

"Dear all,
We have decided to give the traditional singers' sessions at the Miner's Arms, St Werburghs, a rest for a couple of months.
Although those who come enjoy the sessions and we have a great sing, numbers have been small for some time. Due to personal circumstances, I don't have time at the moment to promote and advertise the sessions and do the things that would be needed to bring people in, and can't commit to co-ordinating the sessions for a bit. If there's someone out there who feels like taking it on, let me know.
There won't therefore be a session this Thursday (May 12th) and until further notice (hopefully a couple of months) . Apologies to any regulars who weren't at the last session when we discussed this - I will let you know when we start again.
Many thanks to all who have contributed to the sessions and shared songs with us over the past year - hope to see you again shortly,
Best wishes,
Jude"

If anyone wants to contact Jude, PM me and I will pass it on.

If anyone is in contact with Sean Breadin(Siubhne Astray)please draw his attention to this notice, since he was planning to come here in June.

Thanks

And there I was polishing up my unaccompanied repertoire...

Hope it all works out anyway.

This seems like exactly the kind of thing I'd love to be a part of - what a shame it's in the wrong part of the country for me!

But I agree with your aims - unaccompanied singing is a wonderful thing and well worth keeping going. Good luck when you do reconvene.
