As of this Thursday [12th May] Fleetwood Folk Club will be at the Stawberry Gardens, Poulton Road Fleetwood.
After much soul searching we have left our 'home' at the Steamer where we have been for the last 20+ years, however due to the pub's uncertain future it has been decided that the move is in the club's best interest. The Stawberry Gardens has been refurbished by the new tennents [Fuzzy Duck Brewes] who are most enthusiastic about the club's move.

Well, I can no longer boast that I live on the same street as our local Folk Club... Best of luck in the new venue anyway; hopefully see you there one of these nights...

Ron and Ross-

Did you give serious consideration to the Blue Flamingo as an alternative venue?

So sorry to hear about the Steamer but sometimes one just has to move on.

Charley Noble

Always a tough decision to take and we've (Bothy Southport) been in a similar situation - after 38 years in our case, with so many memories to leave behind. I hope the move proves as successful for you as has proved the case for us.

Charley, thank the Good Lord the Blue Flamingo has long gone! It's site is now being converted from a car saleroom into a fish & chip shop!
Clive, thank you for your good wishes, it was a hard decision to make after so long at the same venue, but the uncertainty over the Steamer in the end left us with little choice.

Aeola, not at present, but watch this space! As at this moment The Steamer will still be one of the FFF main fringe venues.
