Jeff Warner - ditto the above. I've only seen him over one weekend last year in Holmfirth and bought CDs. He has a wonderful unhurried way about him and his tales and song stories are so interesting. You will enjoy your evening.

Finest Kind are Ian Robb, who emigrated to Canada from the South-east of England, Ann Downey, from the American Mid-west, and Canadian Shelley Posen, who has released three CDs: The Old Songs Home, Manna and Menora. Finest Kind has recorded five CDs: Lost in a Song (1996), Heart's Delight (1999), Silks & Spices (2003), For Honour and for Gain (2010) and a Christmas album with actor John D. Huston, Feasts and Spirits (2004). The trio is featured on Ian Robb's CD From Different Angels (1994) and also appears on his Jiig (2005).

Jeff Warner should be something special; he's a marvellous singer, musician and folksong collector as well, and we're looking forward to his interesting and amazing stories. The Club meets at The Windsor Hotel, Pontyclun, Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales - always a great Welsh welcome!

Finest Kind are well worth seeing. Hearing too, especially with James Stephens on fiddle.

Breathtaking close-harmony trio Finest Kind, from Ottawa, Canada are appearing at Llantrisant Folk Club on Wednesday, May 18 - and they'll be introducing fiddler and mandolinist James Stevens, who plays Cape Breston and Irish styles.

We're looking forward to seeing and hearing Jeff Warner, son of New York folksong collectors Frank and Anne Warner, who comes to Llantrisant on Wednesday. Mat 25. See you there!
