We returned home yesterday after a very enjoyable fest. Me back's bad though, with all the bending over putting in the tapes for the camping and road ways and pulling the pegs up afterwards. Well done to the organisers another splendid event, it gets better and better despite the weather. We did think that the numbers of day trippers were down this year and the unpleasant weather probably was the main reason for this. We just expect wind at Shepley, you have to grit your teeth and just get on with it. We did have a good time, met up with lots of old friends again. The event has a special place on our calendar. Brian and Christine

I think the "..special place on the calendar......." sums it up perfectly Brian!

I too had a great - if windy - time. But people ought to note the artists booked were just that little bit different and who could argue about the success of "Le Vent Du Nord" and "Session A9" and "Finest Kind". Well done for some programming above and beyond the call of duty. Two great record launches, excellent beer, and let's just remember, the weather last year was as good as it gets.

More best bits...
John Jones singing as he left the Main Marquee, the Shepley Festival Ale, the smiles on everyones face, the little dog that threw it's own hoop to catch itself... it really was a lovely weekend...
