Subject: Mudhook officially releases 'First Home' From: GUEST,Peadar (formerly) of Portsmouth Date: 24 May 11 - 12:23 PM At last year's Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival , our maritime group Mudhook pulled together an advanced edition of the CD we had started to record. Because the PMFF was the birthplace of our group, we dubbed the CD "First Home: 2010 PMFF Edition" and rushed a short run for the festival. Now, after delays caused by studio construction, holidays, and life in general, I'm happy to report that we've finally finished and we just received our shipment of the official, final "First Home" CD! The formal unveiling will be our upcoming performance at the Piscataqua Waterfront Festival on June 4 in Portsmouth NH. We want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of our group, including Tom Hall (Curmudgeon), Linn Shulz (Bat Goddess), Jeff Warner, everyone at The Press Room sessions, and anyone who has supported and participated in the PMFF. I also want to thank the Mudcat community for helping me personally develop as a performer. The information, discussions and exchanges have proven invaluable. For those curious about the new disc, it features five previously unreleased tracks and a remastering of all the material. (Two songs that appear on the PMFF edition were dropped, making that recording unique on its own.) We're closing the loop on making the CD available online (Amazon, iTunes, CD Baby, etc.), but if anyone would like a copy in the meantime, drop a line on www.mudhook.net and we'll figure it out. All the best, Peter |
