If you can get to Notts Thursday there is a singaround at the Dumbles, Westthorpe, Southwell. Near Newark and handy for the A1. Starts 8.30.

But I don't see much listing outside of their own events (storytelling and MAC events)

"found here" -what I list within 50 Km radius of Brum though I don't list much in Brum. But have a look at my "found here" facility.
Birmingham, Stirchley -Roadhouse Wharfside Complex has had session/open stage on Tuesdays - give them a ring.
Stourbridge & Warwick are not too far away - but ring before you venture.

Look for Notts in my list of lists there are a couple of options.

But I have to say - a lot of folkies will be at festivals on BH Monday.
