When I see threads on the above subject, I often have a wee sigh - sometimes wistful (because the Antipodes can feel a long way a way from the Northern hemisphere) and sometimes weary; I wonder if when you live in a large country, it's boundaries become the only world - parochialism I guess. It got me to thinking anyway.

- Hey Max, ever thought about a place where postings of events by country/locality can be logged - be it a small circle or a festival / Northern Hemisphere (and yes that includes Britain Europe etc) or Southern. If I was to increase my debt, and travel, I'ld sure love to have access to mucous - sorry, I mean music- as I went. Just floating an i

Actually, Ana, our benevolent creator Max has made this a very democratic sort of place. Anybody can start a thread here about just about anything, and any Mudcat member can post a link to just about anything - including a link to a thread that has to do with music festivals in the Azores, if you'd like.

Ah yeah, I realize that. It would just be both fun and helpful to get a fuller picture of what's about (country by country) in a way that is easily accessible - I am only speaking for myself of course(!) and it's quite possible that such a prescribed forum would have no use to anyone else but me...that's why I just thought I'ld float the idea (could well sink/be shot down, but them's the breaks!). Now to see if the end of this message gets chopped off as well.. Ana.......

Ana - I suggested that there some sort of local (however we want to define local) section to the site to post sings, concerts, festivals, etc that would not fall off the bottom like unused threads, but it did not get picked up. HEY MAX!!
