Subject: Johnny Silvo - Enjoy :-)
From: Dave the Gnome
Date: 27 May 11 - 03:24 PM

Stemming form the 'Casey's last ride' thread I went in search of other versions of the same song - and concluded that the best I have heard are Kristofferson's own and the version I first heard on Johnny Silvo's 'I'll fly away' album. KK has enough publicity so here is thread for Johnny :-)

Title track from the album.

Not exactly a folk song (Or should I not say that?) :-)

and

Classic Silvo

Any more links welcome.

Cheers

He's a fixture at the Skagen Festival and will be there this year again. Looking forward to that :-)

Here's another one from last year:
Last thing on my mind

and some gospel:
Just a closer walk with thee

Leading the singing of This land is your land at the Saturday afternoon ceilidh (which has nothing in common with a UK ceilidh, I hasten to add, it's all singing).

Bente
