I recently heard a woman's drinking song, but neglected to get information as to source, as well as the lyrics.

Here is the snippet I remember:

"Forget heartache and strife,
Drink to joy in your life,
Ladies rejoice and rejoice"

Anyone familiar with this one?

Thanks!

Let me guess, you heard it at the Marlboro Ale. I am unclear as to the specifics, but I believe the song may have been written by some of the very talented members of Toronto Women's Sword.

It is true - it was written by Hannah Naiman and Emily Adam both of TWS. I will pass this on to them for further action.

In case you can't wait, I think the whole chorus goes:

Ladies in your finest rejoice
Raise another glass of your choice
Forget heartache and strife
Drink to joy in our lives
Ladies rejoice rejoice

Although I'm not from the source, I too heard this song at Marlboro and its been stuck in my head ever since!
