I got the combination of cocobolo and Englemann spruce from the one that you got to own, Rob - I was really taken with the woods as a pair. I shall miss the High Brooms session (will be in France), but we can try something out at the next Bull gathering.

Another nice bit of kit from Ian's stable...looks like the little brother to my "no 30" ...same back and sides, same top, though my machine heads are ebony and the bridge isn't!

Sounds lovely, too.

We'll have to try a duet if I ever get good enough :-)

My latest acquisition is a beautiful little parlour guitar based on a 1900 Martin "O" model, made for me by my good friend Ian Chisholm. The back and sides are cocobolo wood and the face is Englemann spruce. A mahogany and maple "skunk" neck is complemented by an ebony bridge and snakewood machine heads. I got this little beauty two days ago and it'll be interesting to see how it settles down and matures.

"Button Up Your Overcoat" is a little bit of fluff written by Ray Henderson in 1928 - played here in the key of C.
