That is funny! Although, at first, I thought it might be "full stop" and could have been a discussion of punctuation. By the way...Save the semicolon!

Thaks for posting. It took me a while to figure out that they are supposed to be fighting.

If you have ever walked the Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park (an incredible bird-watching site in mid-winter) you would regard all that action as perfectly normal photography.

I think this one is good enough to be refreshed, at least so that some more people may have a chance to discuss the historical significance.

I note that, according to the recent pundits, all of the weapons used are "classically obsolete" and remembered only by a few old-timers. There's even an instance of "tossing fresh ammo" to a combatant whose weapon ran out. (Modern weapons don't even need to have new batteries very often.) Unfortunately I can't quite posit a specific time frame for this battle.

We should also have some discussion about whether any of the participants knew what they thought they were fighting for ... and quite obviously the "generals" must be brought to trial as soon as the casualties are counted.

John

John-

"whether any of the participants knew what they thought they were fighting for"?

That is indeed a good question and this is certainly the forum to discuss it!

Well, I'd like to know on whose authority they were sent out with such antiquated equipment. I *heard* something about some kickbacks involving the Natl. Geographic??? What's up with that?

It reminded me of a book I read years ago that had one of the most memorable chapter titles ever,
Q " What did you give that starving old woman on the park bench?"
A "100th of a sec at f11"

The battle is between the fascist corporate wedding/portrait/commercial photographers vs the democratic freedom loving left wing art photographers.

The battle might have been Gaoli and his friends trying to recover his stolen photo?

I see that they failed to develope the right flank, but...
Just remember that one battle is only part of the bigger picture, eh?

Maybe the right flank had insufficient exposure to merit full development?

Maybe it was a paparazzi attack.

An assault on certain notorious well known women might completely explain the frenzied shooting, and the action might be about what a paparazzi frenzy looks like from the view of a typical (frequently feminine) victim.

John .... I don't think these certain well known women would be hiking it about in the boondocks such as F-Stop Ridge ... but then again, maybe a certain well known couple chose F-Stop Ridge for a secret out of the way private place to have a ... hmmmm ... little tête-à-tête .... and the paparazzi got wind of it before hand.

the frenzied shooting just got out of hand.

How many civilian casualties or is it collateral damage?

Kat-

They probably cleaned up the "collateral damage" in Photoshop.

kat -

You know darned well that Photoshop can do lots of stuff besides just cropping them. Fuzz, filter, add, subtract, stretch, shrink and all the things that keep the beautiful people beautiful - - so I've heard.

"Shave and a haircut - 6 clicks."
