Well my missus and me went to a Guess Who concert. My missus is a big fan and well since all the health stuff hitting us she wanted to go and check it out. Those guys can still rock after all of these years. Their "American Woman" brought down the house and afterwords they signed autographs in the lobby. I forgot how many great songs they did in the 60's and 70's

My wife was pretty exhausted afterwords but she sure had a good time.

Anyone remember them?

I'd forgotten them, but thanks for reminding me, that's made my day.

Honest to gosh Smokey, they sound even better today. I couldn't believe how they still rock. Everyone's a great grandpa now .. but they still rock it .. They started American woman off with some incredible guitar work with lead riffs .. then busted loose .. Heck there were probably about 500 people or so there .. small turnout .. Very cool because it was a small setting.

Was this with original members Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings, olddude? I always thought Cummings had a great voice.

Where was the concert? I loved them as a teenager.

For the past few years, Randy Bachman has hosted Vinyl Tap, a themed rock and roll show on CBC Radio. He has a wonderfully warm radio presence and enlivens the show with anecdotes and reminiscences--". . . so Ringo turns to me and says . . ."

The one time I saw them - many years ago - the only original members left were the bass player and the drummer. Hardly the creative forces behind the band. So I'm glad you saw a good show.

Someone in Slave Lake lost a guitar autographed by Randy Bachman in that terrible recent forest fire that destroyed much of the town. When Bachman heard about it he sends the guy a new guitar. A class act!

And, not only are they an AMAZING band, they come from Winnepeg... what is it about Winnepeg? So many great musicians, artists, even war heroes... three VCs on one street in WW1!

I say it's the Manitoba winters... when you can't go outside because it's so cold or you can't open the door on accounta the snow, ya gotta entertain yerselves.

The Guess Who, in R&R, as a band, as subsequent bands, and as solo artists are without equals... if I am wrong, PLEASE tell me as I would enjoy hearing someone(s) better if they exist.

Glad ta hear yer old lady enjoyed the gig Dan.

No sugar tonight in my coffee. No sugar tonight in my tea. Don't we all hate when that happens?
