I just rec'd the latest project from this fellow...
he is a very creative guy and the album covers are
even home made...see the video of him and his
printing press..here is a message from him (sent to d.j.'s) :

my new CD: "We Could Be Beekeepers." I just had
the CD Release party here in Portland, Maine to a packed house
(woohoo!!) -- so the album is now officially out in the world!

A few things you might want to know:

1. It IS 100% FCC clean!
2. the CD covers were indeed printed up by yours truly
on an antique letterpress (hand set type! Pedal powered! Check
out this video: http://www.youtube.com/putnamsmith#p/u/3/h0z24bwEAWA)
3. The album features
-folk-funk cellist Seth Yentes (from my last two records!)
-fiddle player extraordinaire Mariel Vandersteel (of Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers)
-vocal harmonies by Connor Garvey and Jenee Halstead (awesome).
4. If there's ONE tune that captures the dominant sound of this album, give a listen to:
track 2: "The Birds Would Understand"

Thank you so much for supporting indie-folkers such as myself!! It is YOU that really really help in getting the music of the grass roots folk scene out to the people!

Much much love to y'all! Stay in touch!

Putnam
