Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Cardiff by the Sea From: Jim Dixon Date: 13 Jun 11 - 12:39 AM Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a town in California. Cardiff is a city in Wales. It seems unlikely that CARDIFF BY THE SEA is a Welsh folk song. The song CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA that 999 posted above can be heard at YouTube, performed by the Ataris. It was written by Kris Roe, a member of the Ataris, and comes from their album "Welcome the Night" (2007). It is certainly not a folk song. But there is at least one other musical piece with the same title. There's one written by Thom Rotella, which appears on his albums "Without Words" (1990) and "Platinum Melodies" (1996). Thom Rotella is a jazz guitarist. A sample that I heard has no words. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Cardiff by the Sea From: GUEST,999 Hope that's what you want. Date: 10 Jun 11 - 02:11 PM Found with a google of "Cardiff by the sea", lyrics The sea has many colors Profoundly red as wine The skies they bleed with fleeting passion tonight Come sweet euphoria Your light is blinding to me You feel as comforting as a mother's warm embrace But still you're just as lonely as the sea We gaze out upon the crashing waves >From this hillside graveyard masquerade Sweet terrible angel Embrace my soul with light Is it honesty that sunk my lungs and is dying to get out But still I'm helpless as an orphaned child Can you cure this loneliness in my heart My heart Can you cure this loneliness in my heart In my heart Euphoria, euphoria Euphoria, euphoria Euphoria, euphoria |
