WHO: Legendary acoustic musicians Joe Craven, Keith Little, Dorian Michael, Hawkeye Herman, Chris Stuart, Janet Beasley and six other world-class music instructors

WHAT: Four days of acoustic music instruction, performance opportunities, jamming, song circles and more in a breathtaking outdoor setting in the heart of California's beautiful gold country. An opportunity to study guitar, ukulele, upright bass, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, Dobro and vocals in a variety of genre. Traditional and contemporary bluegrass, folk, blues, pop, Hawaiian, Tin Pan Alley, and swing are some of the styles available to study and enjoy. Improvisation, rhythm, songwriting, performance and jamming are just some of the other popular options beyond instrument technique.

WHERE: River Music Camp (formerly American River Acoustic Music Camp) is held at the American River Resort in Coloma, California. American River Resort is a first class campground on the banks of the South Fork of the American River, approximately 45 minutes from Sacramento, California and two hours from Reno, Nevada. 6019 New River Road, Coloma, California, 95613.

WHY: River Music Camp offers a gateway to rewarding – and sometimes life-changing – experiences for beginners, as well as advanced instruction for accomplished musicians. The unique story and abilities inherent in all people are honored and nourished, with instructors skilled at helping everyone find their own musical path.

HOW: Visit for on-line registration. Tuition is $375 for adults 18 years and over; $250 for young adults aged 14 through 17; $130 for children aged 13 and under.
